Wireless engineering concepts are simultaneously interesting while also making me want to take my own life.

It's quite the dichotomy.

All the different ways we've managed to chop up EM waves to implement the incredible wireless technologies we use daily is fascinating. But the math... Dear lord...

It's realistic to think that at some point in the future cancer will be one of those diseases that will be treatable with a few vaccines. Granted, we are probably looking at the next century or two for these treatments to start working reliably and for costs to come done, but the idea still makes me hopeful for the future.

If you know a little electronics you can build a high power IR led circuit to generate super powrful IR signals that would work for this purpose.
