I might be having this issue. When I update an item the UI doesn't get updated. However, if I refresh the UI by searching for something else, then go back to my updated item, I see the new values.

It's really annoying.

I installed via pacman.

I also got mine recently! Definitely agree with the rough around the edges part. This is definitely an artisanal, hand-rolled, music player. It... doesn't seem very durable. Mine rattles when I move it...

I bought it to support open source and because I'm hoping it'll last a long time. (As long as I don't move it too much.)

But I dont wanna use my phone. Usually, I try to keep that as far away as possible.

Standard Notes

Is Standard Notes owned/made by Proton??

Probably nothing because I would waste the time thinking about what I should do.

Is the DM button called "Privately mention"? Or is that something else?

Currently, my email is hosted at Migadu. The email hosting is fine. However, they don't seem to offer strong *DAV support. They don't really advertise it and the little documentation they have says "we offer basic calendar support. Please be aware this is a beta feature and some functionalities are missing".

Is there such a thing as a DAV provider, like email provider, but only for WebDAV, CardDAV, and CalDAV?

Or is the answer just to self host Radicale or sabre?

It seems like if I want better DAV support, I'd have to switch email providers... which is kinda annoying.

I still keep my contacts and calendars on Google because it seems the most stable. I don't care about having the maximum possible privacy, I just care about not losing the data.

Someone told me about etesync, but I didn't like it because it's not DAV and you have to use their client apps.

I'm really surprised that most companies have standardized on DAV for contacts and calendars. That seems great because (theoretically) I can use any client.

The whole workflow and philosophy of sourcehut is so different than GitHub though. I think a lot more people would be interested in GitHub, but federated.

There's also this which some people may care about.

Forgejo is implementing federation

Interesting!

Semi-manual tracking with YNAB. My bank doesn't offer an OAuth2 API and there's no way in hell I'm giving Plaid my bank credentials. So, I just download a transactions file and upload that to YNAB.

I know people here will probably recommend https://actualbudget.org/ which seems like a YNAB-clone (in a good way). But the reason I went with YNAB is because they have a ton of docs and videos about how YNAB works and budgeting in general. ActualBudget seems to be targeted at people who already know what they're doing (not me).

YNAB/Actual might be different than Mint, though. YNAB is based on envelope budgeting, as opposed to just collecting spending metrics. I haven't used Mint in a very long time, not sure if it's changed since.
