I agree, I was talking more specifically about the strategy of just churning out a barrage of outrage-inducing news that are meant to strengthen the feeling of fatigue and hopelessness with the intend to suppress any meaningful resistance.

Lovely poem. I'd wager however that love is best shown through kindness, not merely by providing. A warm home and taking care of basic necessities will not offset the damage done by the anger you unleash on children.

Unfortunately his (or his advisor's) strategy seems to work as intended. Does anybody have any ideas, how to counter this barrage, or how to not lose sight of the important stuff?

Additionally, the conservatives are openly and explicitly imitating Trump's antics. "On my first day as chancellor I will..." - No you won't, that's not how it works here.
