I didn't really understand what I just read, but it sounds like flatpack but different. I'm on mint, so I'm pretty sure it doesn't affect me. The memes I've seen on the subject give me the impression that people don't like it.

more competition in the space is always good, helps keep the devs of my preferred game from getting complacent.

I'm laughing though because I keep hearing about how bad a time helldivers players are having, despite the new content, like their devs/publisher keep learning the wrong lessons from the successes of other games.

starlink wouldn't have a leg to stand on (in the US, can't speak for elsewhere) if isps were held to installing/maintaining/upgrading infrastructure that was already paid for by the federal government decades ago and then the isps just didn't do the work.

honestly, i don't expect an answer. New battery tech gets announced every year, claiming to revilutionize energy storage. None have made it to market in any meaningful way, if at all. Lithium batteries hit the sweet spot of price to performance, and nothing else can compete. Looking forward to the day that changes.
