@PowerCrazy I don't drive. So I agree with you. But I also want drivers to realize that speeding is deadly. It's not an act without consequences.
@grue Yes, yes, yes. I agree with all of this. But I also think people should realize that speeding is bad and that lowering car speeds is good, so all these changes can be implemented. I'm tired of people getting angry because they got a fine for speeding because they were, you know, speeding and putting people in danger.
@grue I 100% agree with you. Still, people shouldn't speed. And they should know that if they speed they're more likely to kill someone.
@Goblin_Mode But why do they like their cars? It's not spontaneous. It's because the automotive industry lobbied to destroy any other transportation option, so they need to have a car to survive. Obviously you'll like the thing that helps you survive. It's not that they like their cars, so they built their life around it. It's that their lives are built around them, so they don't have any other option but to like cars.
@Goblin_Mode @Diplomjodler Is it a cultural difference, or has the US lacking infrastructure forced you to make a different choice?
@BorgDrone @pbrisgreat Unfortunately no. In the United States the pedestrian or cyclist can be at fault (I, thankfully, don't live in the US but I lived there for a while and I noticed the laws are skewed towards cars).
