I see plenty of room to pass. Person running in the gutter lane. Sidewalks in this area look fucking rough (thanks, car centric transportation!).

What’s mildly infuriating is the asshole taking a picture WHILE operating a motor vehicle.

That jogger is a fucking idiot, never ever run on a road with your back to traffic, run on other side and face cars coming at you so you can get the fuck out of the way in event of an accident, if it happens behind your dumb ass, you are fucking dead.

Edit: Also, why the fuck are you linking to reddit?????

Most don't realize serious runners can damage their legs by running on sidewalks vs asphalt

Something about the impact I'm not sure the specifics

It's not just the softness of the material.... Sidewalks have lots of undulations and uneven angles every time you cross a driveway or a junction. Also gaps and cracks

Jogging 2km on a sidwalk is fine

Running at a serious speed over 10k on an uneven, hard surface like sidewalk is a high chance of injury

Appropriate post for this sub. Cars aside, man it's weird to me the things people get upset about.

Not sure why you’re being downvoted.

Because most people who vote are not members of the community.

Probably people who think this is jaywalking etc.

On the other side of the Atlantic, any human, horse, bike, motorised mobility aid etc. is justified to use the roads here (except highways unless it's an emergency) even if there's a perfectly good sidewalk. Just double-checked and the only suggestion is to wear something reflective or hivis if you choose to walk in the road.

Reminder that jaywalking was invented by car companies because they kept killing people who were trying to use the shared public spaces that were roads back then

Once the fuckcars community wakes up, I think it will even out

Maybe because they linked to Reddit?

Yah, a lot of people on this site are always posting links to reddit, I would not be surprised if we find out the developer of the site works for reddit. No other reason why linking to POS reddit is allowed and not blocked in site code from that URL from being posted.
