They claim that they don't link/save your search history so although they have your details for payment, technically it's not linked. If they aren't lying...

You're accusing Cory Doctorow, the guy who invented the phrase "enshittification", of making a blog post that's really an advert...? Really???

Are you also an airline pilot by any chance?

Natural History Museum in London... before you even get to the exhibits it has some of the most breathtaking architecture.

The Working Time Directive means you can't work more than 48 hours per week and it also prevents employers from making you work more than 48 hours per week (there are some exceptions eg workers on ships and trainee doctors) but in most EU countries you can opt out of it.

Depends on the age of your tracks, if you have old Victorian bridges etc or aging signal systems it can be very hard indeed.

(London btw)

Have a read on the trouble the 2600 guys have been having sending out emails for the next HOPE conference - the junk filter is also great at filtering out topics it deems unsuitable.

How do you provide evidence you didn't use something????

I'll give you one more guess...

He said he was UK based... 100% unenforceable, an employment tribunal wouldn't even bother hearing it

Sorry if I'm being dumb with this one, but I can't see how to edit posts. Comments, yes, but posts don't seem to have an edit facility.

I had mistype in a post I made earlier and had to switch to another app to edit it.

I would like to be able to use multiple accounts simultaneously with the option of viewing individual timeslines or an “everything” timeline. On the Everything timeline, the UI would indicate which account is showing (and therefore commenting) that particular post.

For reference take a look at the Liftoff! app - it adds a "via " next to the community name * eg !fediverse@lemmy.world via darreninthenet@sh.itjust.works *- indicating fediverse community on lemmy.world instance coming from my sh.itjust.works account.

Purpose - for accounts on defederated instances, or on instances with communities being blocked on some other instances

Considerations:

  • multiple accounts subscribing to the same community - proposed solution is for users to set their accounts in a priority order like the guest account drag and drop, so the account with the highest priority subscribed to that community is shown as the "via" account and used for any posts or comments

I would like some gestures for a long-press on a post, community etc - probably a pop-up menu with choices of actions
