Harris: "You shouldn't have to fly to another state just to get the medical attention you need."

MAGA nutheads: "SHE HATES FLYING WITH POOR PEOPLE"

Holy shit, the brain gymnastics some people do on the net is astonishing.

If you decide to buy a MacBook (and from my recent experience with an M1 Pro I would advise against it) you should check in advance if all your daily software is available. Asahi itself is fairly stable and enjoyable to use, the software repo is still lacking in a lot of places though. As others have said, you’ll probably be better off financially and mentally with a decently specced used Thinkpad if Linux is your primary OS.

Only anecdotally, but a friend of mine has been complaining about his 6a for at least 2 months now, saying the device gets sluggish and he encounters more bugs with every update. My mom reports similar things with her 7 Pro. So if GrapheneOS isnβ€˜t important for you, I would skip Pixels for now. The Nothing 2a looks really good though.

Did the same thing and never looked back. Getting what my mother got as a nurse after 30 years in less than 4 years in IT is insane.

Googles implementation of RCS, the one they are pushing as standard, is indeed proprietary

Works fantastic. I'm currenlty playing it through Gamepass and GeforceNow with Priority(have it for other Games anyway), since the Gamepass Version is locked to 30fps. It's a bit more complicated than running an .exe, but a well documented setup.

Have fun :)
