Marketing Consultant: No, King Condiment, you can’t put red in red on an ad. They won’t see it. They’ll wonder why you’re selling a gun to shoot at food.

The King: But it’s great advertising!

Marketing Consultant: No, that’s not a great marketing ad.

The King: But they can still use red for ketchup right?

Marketing Consultant: Of course. And your instructions can tell them which is for which.

The King: It’s so confusing!

Marketing Consultant: It is. And if you had hired us before manufacturing millions of these we could have told you about using another base color with red and yellow grips and triggers. But you didn’t and so here we are.

You’re right.

The trays had a groove for a CD. So placing it in the groove it would work because its edges would always fall into that groove correctly all the way around the tray.

This, however, wouldn’t work on a slot loaded drive since they worked by having a set of arms with rollers that grab the edge of inserted disc and another arm with a roller that pushed it the rest of the way in from the opposite edge when it’s inserted enough.

You can see how this worked here on a DVD drive that uses the same setup. https://youtu.be/qi3v7X6BpAA

So there’s only ever 3 slim points of contact which is fine as long as it’s a circle. Yet the irregular shape here would cause it to get partially in and then pushed by the arms into the edge/internals of the drive.

August 29, 1997, came and went. Nothing much happened. Michael Jackson turned 40. There was no Judgment Day. People went to work as they always do. Laughed, complained, watched TV, made love. I wanted to run to through the street yelling to grab them all and say, "Every day from this day on is a gift. Use it well". Instead, I got drunk.

Similar answer to a different question.

Something that I liked at first but now dislike.

Decades ago (stone cold sober no less) I really liked Pink Floyd.

Now I just find it difficult to sit through. I want something a bit faster pace.

What’s crazy is that I loved the steam world titles (quest and build were ok).

But I didn’t even know Heist 2 came out. I’ve already wishlisted it for later.

There was something in the manual if I remember correctly. Which you wouldn’t necessarily have if you rented the game.

Edit: just checked and I was wrong. Nothing in the manual. I must have been thinking of another game.

I used to be an avid reader but as I got older and busier I just couldn’t find the time.

Then when I did have time there was always distractions, or other things I could be doing.

So now I read primarily via audiobooks through Libby and my library.

I read 130 books or so last year that way.

Mowing the yard? Audiobook.

Long drive? Audiobook.

Waiting at the doctors? Audiobook.

Dishes? Audiobook.

And then when I’m really invested I’ll relax by playing some mindless game while I listen. Think match 3 or bejeweled.

Just engaging enough to keep me from getting bored while listening but not so much that I can’t do both.

Balatro, BABA is you? Bad candidates for playing and listening.

The last couple of years I burned through the wheel of time series, all of Brandon Sanderson’s books (except skyward which I haven’t gotten to), a lot of Adrian Tchaikovsky, and others.

Considering how we use it. It is absolutely fascinating. Same for magnetism

Keep it floating… other than that useful for makeshift spears/weapons for fishing?

Speed tape. Very expensive but basically helps with drag and isn’t structural.

Journey is good.

Rime is a good (but emotional) story.

I just updated yesterday to the 1.3.5 release.

Unfortunately now when I use my thumb to quickly scroll posts and comments it doesn’t respond.

But if I stop, and move very slowly it does register the scroll. After it finally does scroll then for about 10 seconds or so it behaves normally.

This doesn’t happen, however, in the top half of the screen. Just the bottom half.

Thank you again for all the hard work you do on the app.

I got a singer 8606 from a yard sale and am having trouble finding a manual online and what parts work with it?

E.g. compatible bobbins, needles, etc.
