What about the elbow in the face on Gil that everyone in the studio thought was a clear pen and red but Var seemed to ignore completely?

This seems like a non story. The article mentions Luton who had 15 charges against them for using third parties in transfers, so its not at all similar.

This is one incident of potentially going through an unlicensed agent. For reference Arsenal got charged for this over the calum Chambers transfer and got no points deduction, no transfer ban, just a 60k fine.

Don't think self reporting matters does it? They can still penalise the club, dock points and put a transfer ban in place.

They've found more payments haven't they. That's what this is saying. It's more of the same stuff. Not looming good for chelsea

You can't be serious. Arteta spoke at length about the goal calling it a disgrace and the club released a statement saying he was right.

That's one way of interpreting it though. The other is that Gabriel is leaving forward to head it back over his head.

It's a marginal call. You can't just decide you know exactly what happened and then claim its an outrage! Gabriel himself didn't even complain about it at the time.

This js what I don't get. It was a marginal call. It wasn't even the most controversial call of that game. It certainly wasn't the most controversial call directly leading to a goal in the orem this weekend either!

How the hell has it rumbled on this long. And the answer to that is obviously Artetas reaction and the club statement.

Football discourse is so so boring now. If your team plays badly then just blaaaaaame the ref.

There's almost always one slightly controversial/marginal decision in a game so it works every time.

What excuses are people going tk come up with for this now?

Or can we just say spurs are actually really good?

The idea that this contributed to the balls up is so silly. It was 2 days before and its a 6 hour flight. I mean imagine saying you couldn't concentrate at work cos you flew back from holiday 2 days before?

It was just a silly human balls up. It happens. The thing that can be learned from it is surely the framework can be changed to be able to pull back play when it's been established the correct call was miscommunicated.

The meltdown over this is absolutely bizarre.
