Oooo I didn't even think about looking at Decathlon bikes. Noted; I'll take a peak!

Sweet! Thank you for the recommendation!

I have a wonderful GT Transeo which I have been using for commuting and joy rides.

I'm thinking about upgrading since I did a couple of charity rides and even a race this year as well.

I have been riding road primarily but I'm thinking about gravel or all-road bikes since drivers in my area seem to be getting more... dangerous? If I get gravel then I can either go on bike trails or drive somewhere where there is less car traffic. There's also quite a few gravel events in my area.

I've been eyeing either the Trek Domane, Canyon endurance, or the Giant Revolt. Any other bikes to look into?

Budget - Preferably $1k-$2k USD. I'm okay with going up to $3k if it's worth it. I am not looking to be a pro, just something with a little more arrow and competitive than a hybrid bike ๐Ÿ˜…. Not afraid of buying used, but the market in my area is terribly non-existent. If I look for used bikes I probably would buy through BuyCycle.com or something.

Intriguing! Thanks for the tip; I'll be sure to look into them!

I'm actually stoked looking for a bike with drop bars! Lol. A friend let me ride around on their bike for a bit and I became a fan of them.

I did consider just switching out the components on the bike, but I'm concerned adding drop bars wouldn't match the geometry of the bike. From what I've seen online, adding drop bars is an iffy thing to do?

Are you allowed to carry over PTO hours? I might just be a pessimist, but my immediate thought is if they ever have to let anybody go, they don't want to pay-out accrued PTO hours.

At my previous place, there was one employee that NEVER took PTO for some insane reason. Had saved up like 2 months of PTO.

He was told by HR he had too many hours and needed to use some PTO time. This specific scenario is not unheard of.

However, a month or so after he came back from a month and a half of PTO, he got laid off for reasons unknown to me.

Rumors are they didn't want to pay-out the PTO.

Honestly it doesn't make sense, they had to pay him for the PTO anyways, but when has HR made sense?

I meant wiping twice as in I'd bidet, wipe once to dry, wipe twice to confirm clean, and then done. As opposed to marker butthole ๐Ÿ˜…

It's so hard to use toilet paper after getting a bidet.

I mean sure, I use TP to double check the bidet did it's job and to dry. But wiping twice as opposed to dealing with a marker butthole has spoiled me.

In Kansas it's a hot issue to expand ACA benefits and has widely popular support. Yet we for some reason keep on voting in Republicans whose major issues are just removing tax brackets.

Am I dumb or what's up with the radio stuff on the left? ๐Ÿ˜… Is rust common for some sort of radio programming?

I struggle so hard to get even 5 boosts on mastodon. How do y'all do it ๐Ÿ˜‚

Huh. I used to write notes to myself a few years ago when I was still in school and would get super drunk. "Look up modular synths," was one of my notes and I never went and actually did it. This is probably my calling to learn about them ๐Ÿค”.

In my own kitchen we have one light switch which turns on about separate bulbs. They aren't white light but it's close enough to this pic ๐Ÿ˜‚

Title is pretty much all.

Some context:

I took an edible and had a thought last night.

What if I tattooed a ruler on my finger?

I never would actually do this, but my interest still piqued. Do hands keep growing? Do they stop growing? Do they shrink? How long would a finger ruler be viable until it needs decommissioned?

I'm probably going to PlanetComicon in KC because some of my friends are going, and I noticed a couple of celebrities have been involved in Trek comics!

I've been meaning to start reading some comics but keep putting it off because the amount of series to choose from is a bit overwhelming for me. I suppose now is a better time to start never!

Title is pretty much everything!

I have these high up windows that I'd like to clean and maybe in the future install curtains on. I guestimate the wall being 20ft (6m) tall.

For other rooms in the house I typically use an A-Frame, but it's impossible to find an A-Frame to reach that high where I am.

I plan on draping a towel over the top of the ladder to prevent scratches and scuffs on the wall, as well as getting a rubber mat or something if the floor seems slippery. I am just not sure if drywall would support a ladder? Especially near the frame of the windows. Maybe there's something else I'm not considering as well?

Description of image: Meme image. I can't believe he didn't cry during Titanic! Do men even have feelings? The man is crying at Picard crying in the mud.

Like, I understand listening to them while driving to work, exercising, doing chores, etc!

But sometimes you're in a moment and you don't want to stop listening, but you're done with your chores or something.

I currently just sit and twiddle my thumbs but I feel like I could be doing other things. Sorry if this was a dumb question I took an edie ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm not talking high, I'm not talking vibing, I mean absolutely covered in cookie crumbs baked.

Sometimes, it's nice to come home from an awful day at work, smoke a toke, and forget about problems for a minute.

I usually would just continue playing whatever game I'm actively into at the moment. But when you're sitting there covered in cookie crumbs, maybe trying to figure out how to play Boulder Gate 3 might be too tedious for the moment.

Vampire Survivors is what I typically play, but sometimes it's nice to have more than one option.
