A list on restrictions on government power.

Why just governments? That lets churches and corporations off the hook and right wing governments tend to give them more power anyway.

15 minutes from booting the ISO to a Plasma installation is probably average. There are probably people who've done speed runs in 5 minutes. archinstall has gotten so good.

Fear mongering is an interesting thing. You have people who call articles about COVID or climate change fear mongering. Then you have other people who called the NO campaign fear mongering. And there seems to be zero overlap between those 2 groups.

It's unreasonable to live there then. Your choice relies on the rest of the world paying the price of unnecessary car trips and the infrastructure for it. And not just now but people in the future will bear the consequences of your decision to live in a place that requires that.

Name a single culture that adopted the values and pracrices of a nation they defeated in warfare.

This is fairly common throughout history. The Mongols did it to such an extent that the Chinese considered them Chinese when they ruled China. It also happened a lot when various empires conquered Egypt or when Alexander conquered the Persians. It happens more often than not.

It is not a few bad apples. The police and military are fundamentally bad as set up in most places and the US especially. There are awful people who are celebrated war heroes and highly decorated who've followed US law and military regulations their entire career but are still war criminals by the standards of international law. There are countless vice and drug squad police and agents who've never committed a corrupt act by the standards of their agency and yet they have been nothing but a disaster for the communities they operate in. ACAB. Military too.

US police and military are the absolute fucking pits and you never know how an interaction will go. Maybe great dudes who will slap you on the back. Maybe they'll kill you and then the government will kill people who question that.

You can pin apps in Android. Something similar in iOS I think. You should never hand a stranger an unlocked phone otherwise.

Freedom of speech is limited everywhere. Banning Nazi salutes isn't one of the bad limitations. I'm so glad Justin Trudeau banned it in Australia.

I'm new to windows as a service desk guy and one note is the only thing I have available. I just wish I knew how to get the best out of it for templates I throw into notes and incidents.
