Don't get me wrong. Of course send everything we have to them, Taurus, F-16, billions of dollars. Damn, hit Putin in his Kreml with drones. We should have sent the equipment way earlier when they said they would need it and not months later. (Fuck you, Olaf Scholz.) If we would have done it earlier, we now wouldn't talk about how to Ukraine needs more soldiers. Still send the weapons anyway. But now we talk about the need for soldiers and we can't ignore it when Ukraine simply doesn't have enough soldiers to handle all their weapons and fight back the Russian army on some parts of the front. And that they need more soldiers and have to mobilize is what have I heard a few times in the last weeks.

Of course it isn't the only criteria. Nevertheless Ukraine needs more soldiers, superior equipment doesn't help you to win a war if there's no one to use it or to few to use all of it.

I don't quite understand the downvotes. Ukraine needs more soldiers, doesn't it? Russia has no regulations whom to send in battle and how many. Ignoring the problem does not make it better.

The six West Balkan states attended a summit in Berlin to sign agreements to bring them closer to EU membership. The German Chancellor said they needed to cooperate.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and EU Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen welcomed the six West Balkan states to Berlin on Monday as part of the tenth Berlin Process summit.

The Berlin process aims to bring Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzgovenia, Albania and North Macedonia together to sign agreements to enable them to become EU member states. Five out of six agreements were signed, and restrictions on export from Serbia to Kosovo were lifted.

Scholz underlined that the states could only join together, despite some of them likely to meet conditions quicker than others. He encouraged the states to help each other out.

Montenegro is seen as the first promising country to be integrated to Europe, despite the process beginning more than 20 years ago. Whilst Montenegro expects to meet all the requirements before 2028, Scholz said he hopes the whole process would be complete before 2030.

The German leader also urged Serbia and Kosovo to thaw relations.

Croatia was the last state to become part of the EU, back in 2013.

But with Ukraine and Moldova's memberships being accelerated due to the full-scale invasion, its likely to leave a sour taste in the Balkan states' mouths.

Hallo Leute, die neue Instanz feddit.org ist online, gerade eigentlich noch in der Testphase, aber alles läuft rund, während wir von feddit.de nicht wissen wie es weiter geht, weil der Admin nicht erreichbar und die Website down ist. Die Zukunft von feddit.de ist ungewiss. Feddit.org ist demokratisch verwaltet, über den gemeinnützigen Verein fediverse.foundation in Wien, wo auch die Server stehen, die Adminschaft besteht aus 3 Feddit.de-Menschen und einem von der Foundation. Wollt ihr nach feddit.org? Dann tut es. Nicht? Dann nicht.
