There's a whole bunch of topics I just "Nope!" out of.

It's obvious they are complex, and, frankly, my interest in them is not enough to invest the time to even get to a basic understanding.

So, my canned answer is:

"It's complex, and I don't feel I know enough to have an opinion about it"

If it's something interesting, I might add on "What do you think about it?"

If it's not interesting I might throw on "And I'm not interested enough in even having an opinion. Thank you and goodbye"

That last part goes well with telecallers 🤣

You have a point. After I wrote it I thought of 2 things. Firstly, even those that are lucky enough to travel will never travel everywhere. So, how can they claim the best without having seen all possibilities? Secondly, there are ways to learn and /or experience things without being physically present, like read about it in a book, or watch a documentary. That counts for something.

Now I think about it, I could have changed it to:

"I live in the best country on the planet!”

"Really? How do you know? How do you measure that? What evidence do you have to back that up?"

But, it would probably go all downhill from there, as the original one inevitably would....😆

"I live in the best country on the planet!"

"Have you ever been to another country?"

"Well, no. But why would I do that when I'm already in the best country!"

This doesn't apply to just the US...

Oh, yeah I know 27 programming languages.

What? Haha, no, I can't program them.

The correct Australian answer to that question would be:

"Yeah, na."

With that headline, I expected it to be about sucking up to Trump to invest and buy more of our coal and gas lol

That goddam Emperor Penguin that showed up in WA should go back to where he came from!

I already have a wind turbine strapped to my ass and generate free power with every fart. If I need a 'boost' I'll wolf down some baked beans.

You're way behind CSIRO!

I wonder with crypto bull run supposedly on, how many pensioners will go over the assets limit lol

I'm not sure grandma has any crypto.... but putting all your investments in only crypto -or any single asset class- is just stupid.

lmao you'd be lucky to find a bedroom on flatmates for that

and our entire economic system will fall apart, not that it’s going to start Armageddon.

Is there a difference?

So, who are you supporting for the Grand Final?

I can't make my mind up.

I don't want Penrith to win again. I hate dynasties, and I think it's better for the game when teams rise and fall. It's one of the benefits of a salary cap.

But I don't like Melbourne, because of their historical rorting of the salary cap, ruining multiple seasons of the NRL. And the whole introduction of wrestling manoeuvres into footy. A lot of their game seems to be based on cheating or exploiting weaknesses in rukes rather than playing in the spirit of the game.

Or do I just barrack for the referee, touchies and video reviewers?

I thought maybe someone was marking cars that had been highlighted on Dashcam Owners Australia, but apparently not....

Thank God resources have been allocated for a strike force! One poor victim got the paint off with WD40, but the trauma will last forever!

Sorry if this has been asked/answered previously, but it just struck me that I hadn't really noticed any impacts of CloudStrike on aussie.zone.

Was wondering if it was a non-event, or maybe there are some war stories with heroes deserving medals!

Twins in a pram rolled onto the track at Carlton.

Terrible.

Demolition in the first half.

  • Moses making 50-60m with his kicks
  • Angus Crighton like a runaway tank
  • even Trell looking like a footy player again
  • Liam Martin, clean it up. Grubby all night.
  • Used to think DCE was overrated, now I think he may be underrated...

The traditional 1-1 back to QLD for NSW to lose game 3 looks to be happening again....

I use old.reddit.com, and had trouble logging in from there today. "Too many redirects". I also use the Redirect to old.reddit.com extension. When I disabled that, the login link it now takes you to is https://www.reddit.com/login/. That, of course, takes you to www.reddit.com.

The old 'popup' login box has been removed. I also noticed that the in sub logins where they used to have username/password entry boxes have been removed.

More reddit enshitification to try and make us use their horrible UI.

He's passed EVERY test. He's more Aussie than anyone I know!
