I thought maybe someone was marking cars that had been highlighted on Dashcam Owners Australia, but apparently not....

Thank God resources have been allocated for a strike force! One poor victim got the paint off with WD40, but the trauma will last forever!

WONT SOMEBODY THINK OF THE MILLIONAIRES!

When I was being catch and release hunted in leichhardt by some bored fellas who wanted to kill a trans woman the cops couldn't spare a patrol as I couldn't be more specific than "Hiding near the tram station somewhere" but they have time for this shit lmfao.

What a fucking joke of a city.

I'm sorry we have so many c*#ts in this country, i hope everyday your surrounded by more and more better people.

Maybe some of them have gained enough perspective to feel shame about their decisions. Probably not, but maybe.

Not really actually. I think tolerance of trans people is actually going backwards, we have never been understood but until recently we were ignored.

Now there is the moral panic about trans kids and sports empowering bigots and normalising shitty opinions. Basically nobody has (at least knowingly) met a trans person but increasingly they have opinions on us.

Most of the bad stuff is institutional though: police violence, healthcare not funded, discrimination protections withheld, and de facto steralisation to get any degree of protection.

Ugh, thats a laundry list of shit and institutional changes that, best case scenario, will take time and a lot of understanding to wade through.

The moral panic has definitely been put in the spotlight. But i felt it was losing its salience in a political sense. These people have continued spewing their same hatred filled alternate reality, and more people, i felt, were just seeing these unjust attacks for what they always were.

But i'm on Lemmy now, and hardly go on anything else, so i might have cauterised that hateful side of the population online. I suppose my offline life is very insulated from that as well, so probably not in the best position to judge.

For great justice!

Mercs and BMW only. I wonder what the motivation was. Audi fan? Environmental protest? Wealth inequality protest?

Also a gla180 is hardly a luxury car. Gutless little JUHB more like.

Did they spray paint some blinkers onto the BMWs? Maybe parking guides?

[–] No1@aussie.zone 3 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

You may be onto something.

Maybe somebody has been sneakily spray painting over all BMWs and Mercs blinkers, and that's why they never indicate!

[–] unionagainstdhmo@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

My other hypothesis was that the blinker fluid is hard to change in those cars so the owners try to minimise use.

Are we calling Mercedes Benzes "Mercs" now?

[–] thisisdee@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I thought Mercs was a common way to refer to it? Or at least in F1, I've seen & heard Mercs a lot referring to Mercedes.

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I mean, I've never heard it before, but I don't claim to be an authority on the parlance of our time.
