$hill Stein voters will never admit they were duped. All those protests centered on Biden or Harris but NEVER on Republicans. Also it’s Congress that establishes foreign aid, but whatever. It must have felt so good to be entertained by your own anger.

I’d say she can go fuck herself, but it seems she already has…

When the mass deportations -Trump’s cornerstone promise- are full throttle, please come back here and tell us some more about why Harris, a normal person, was the choice to be shunned as President.

Is the DNC so bad that millions of individuals sat on their hands and allowed a wannabe despot get control of the country (and Congress)? Nah. DNC ain’t perfect, but the non-voters and third party voters are fucking petty dipshits who absolutely have a hand in whatever comes out of the MAGAverse.

“No primary” is the excuse I keep hearing. Well, given the three months notice, wtf did people want? Harris is VP, next in line for the presidency. So she’s the obvious choice. They could have had an open convention. But Harris appeared to have overwhelming support from Democratic voters. So an open convention would have had no challengers. I’m sorry a whole bunch of people couldn’t muster a vote for her in light of the alternative authoritarian POS that will now run the country.

And the Greens are 100% a spoiler party, trotting out their unqualified (Stein couldn’t answer how many people are in Congress, a basic bit of civics) shill candidate every four years while doing absolutely jackshit as a party at any other time. They have never got someone elected to Congress in the entirety of their existence. Because they don’t even try.

The non-voters and the dipshit third party voters will spend the next however many years blaming “Democrats” instead of themselves for whatever horrors come out of Trump and his administration. Was it worth it to keep a normal person like Harris out of office? Not asking now, it’s just a question to ponder if we’re allowed to have Midterm elections.

The 900 page Project 2025 document is still freely available, if you’re curious about what’s coming.

Trump’s cornerstone campaign promise… Millions of you let him win by not voting or voting third party. Don’t blame Trump for this. For once he wasn’t lying. Ooh and he has Congress to back him up, too! Checks and balances? Nope.
You can fight back by yelling on the internet or maybe a little protest march (until that’s disallowed). But for fuck’s sake don’t vote until the electoral college is gone and Gaza is free and you have the perfect candidate!

Y’all had a choice between less-than-perfect & and straight up hatred. Your choice was to let hate reign. And now you’re gloating about it. So fuck you for that. And your quaint meme is the equivalent of smearing your own shit on the wall in a tepid little tantrum, complete with wrongly framed arguments. Go ahead and downvote me or write a pithy faux angry response. This is social media. It’s fucking meaningless. Voting had meaning. As do the mass deportations that are the cornerstone of Trump’s campaign promises. You petty fucks.

My fellow Americans, if you sat out the election because Harris didn’t excite you enough or she wasn’t perfect, what’s coming from Trump is on you.

And if you voted for Jill Stein because you don’t understand how foreign aid is established (it’s via Congress) or you believed the hype of “genocide” or that Republicans weren’t worth your protests, what’s coming to Gaza is on you.

[–] ModestMeme@lemm.ee 8 points 1 week ago (4 children)

What is Trump’s stated opinion on Israel and its war in Gaza? What is Trump’s stated opinion -and first term actions- on Muslims? Seriously, the Biden & Harris = “genocide” horseshit was 100% designed to disenfranchise Democrats. Congress votes on foreign aid. Congress is largely Republican. Protesters NEVER went after Republicans.

So left wing Democrats responded by sitting on their hands instead of voting, knowingly allowing the country to slide into whatever authoritarian hellhole that awaits us? Now that’s the definition of pettiness.
