The fact that Silicon Valley interests effortlessly shrugged off the non-profit board's attempt to hit the kill switch last year, and now are preparing to take the company commercial despite the deliberate design otherwise, becomes much more interesting when you consider the theory that corporations are a form of artificial superintelligence.
If the AI idealists can't stand up to basic forces of capitalism, how do they expect to control an actually dangerous AGI?

AskMeFi predated Yahoo Answers by several years (and is several orders of magnitude better than it ever was).
It was always bullshit, but in terms of political effectiveness it tapped into some powerful racism and dogged Obama for years to the point that he actually did release his long-form birth certificate. Two members of Donald Trump's campaign staff had a verbal and physical altercation Monday with an official at Arlington National Cemetery, where the former president participated in a wreath-laying ceremony, NPR has learned.
A source with knowledge of the incident said the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent U.S. casualties are buried. The source said Arlington officials had made clear that only cemetery staff members would be authorized to take photographs or film in the area, known as Section 60.
When the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staff from entering Section 60, campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside, according to the source.
