Oh look, it's almost as Meta is an untrustrworthy actor that plans to EEE the fediverse. I consider any instance that federates with Meta a lost cause, to be defederated as well.

And then there's me, who copy pastes terminal commands from the net without checking them :3
Then block all other instances and keep the one that is most relevant, if you are that bothered with cross posts. Frankly, the main value of link aggregator sites are the comments, and having multiple instances can be great for making comparisons.
I'm sure that there is an article buried underneath the ads, but I really don't have the time to excavate it. Note to potential site owners - if I need a digital equivalent of a condom to browse your site I am clicking the back button and putting you SEO spammed garbage onto a mental blacklist.
What a a pointless, ad ridden mess of an article. The popularity of Forgotten Realms stems from the fact that it was aggresively market ed during the 2e era, since the creator of the setting was on board, unlike Gary and his Greyhawk. The author mentions the (terrible) tie in novels that were also a major factor in its omnipresence, but they also drove the metaplot which diluted the setting into its curent "generic fantasy kitchen sink". Personally, if you'd put a gun to my head and told me to run a game in it, I'd probaby avoid the Sword Coast in favor of the east/southeast, Dalelands or The Sea od Fallen Stars being the most likely canidates.
Yes, absolutely! Although, I don't get this "there must be only one" mentality regarding communities. R*ddit had competing subreddits, since the organizational structure was ripe for mod abuse, and the community often made an alternative. Worrying about duplicate communities kinda misses the point of site federation.
The stall is obviously not installed yet, but whatever, funny picture on the internet, gotta get those points.
They will shit their pants once they find out about the metaverse logo. Personally, the Threads logo reminds me of a coiled tapeworm, which is very appropriate.
