Thank you for the recommendations! Garzey's wing and way of the husband sound just like I am looking for, I ended up being mesmerized by cipher simply because I have a soft spot for 80's shojou aesthetics and 80's music, the vibes are immaculate!

I think I just found crystal triangle on youtube so it's added to my watchlist!

I think I've seen a lot of these recommendations; and I have liked them a lot! I don't think I could "just listen to them" in good conscience because a lot of these shows and movies have good visual language and engaging stories; I need to put Spy X Familly in my watch list because it sounds like a good show!

My platonic ideal for a "bad anime" to listen while working is something like "King's game" (in fact I think that was the one that got me down this road.) It is so consistently bad that I don't mind missing anything visually; It is so consistently outrageous and bat chist crazy that listening to it keeps me entertained, and it has that weird quality in scripting where everything is expressed verbally. I got so much stuff done that week; I don't know why it makes me super productive.

Then there is another category I have; The "so outrageous it's good" anime: I tried "just listening" to Baki son of ogre And I just couldn't do it. The moment Baki took a child to his basement to watch him train against an imaginary giant mantis, I was all like "Ok; I can't ignore this shit." I ended up binging the series :,)

I continue on my quest to listen to bad Anime while I work; This week I listened to chaos;head and it was delightfully terrible. It was basically an audio novel, everything was expressed in dialog, I especially love the long pseudo science exposition dumps:

spoiler"we are putting a delusion in the blank spot on your mind!" I had to glance at my second screen from time to time to make sure that the otaku guy and his harem of psychic girls were battling... Dudes with back packs.

The final fight was also funny in how anticlimactic it was. I noticed it's based on a visual novel or something and tried listening to chaos;child what seemed to be an adaptation of an alternative route but I could not do it a second time. Then tried Heavenly Delusion and that one seemed good, so I'm putting it on hold to watch while paying attention next.

Currently looking for another bad Anime to listen to

As of 2024 Mexico had a count of 1.7 million of naturalized foreign born citizens. Which exceeds 1% of the population by itself. After the establishment of Mexico as a "third safe country" during the first trump administration, the influx of undocumented immigration has increased considerately. But there is no exact census by the INEGI of what percentage of migrants stay in Mexico or just travel across.

In essence Mexico has always been very multicultural and multiracial. Issues that involve ethnicities and indigenous people Exist in Mexico and they are very worrisome, but racist policy hasn't been part of governmental policy in the last decade or two. Even in the most right wing, catholic areas of the country like el Bajío, the general population tends to be very inclusive. Class being the major cause for discrimination.

So foreign born population doesn't help as much in this topic as it is irrelevant. So take your propaganda elsewhere gringo.

The final form of conservative regimes always resorts to imposing religion and rigid moral codes in order to suffocate any form of dissent. Conservatives have been painting themselves as the "rebels" in their manufactured culture wars and the warriors of freeze peach, but in the end it always funnels back to this: Bible authoritarianism. They will use this argument for push for more censorship, information control, stripping away rights and oppressing every community they deem against their dogmas. The writing has been on the wall for a decade now.

I am hoping that America's new implementation of this "Christian state" proves to be grotesque enough to serve as a warning for the rest of the world that even had the fleeting thought of going down this route. And I while am not very hopeful for Americans, I wish they find the strength to resist and revolt against this movement.

Religion can also be a WEAPONIZED moral code. And America has had a history of weaponizing it's idea of morality. So nothing new here, just more extreme.

Rss feeds on AIMP; I miss the time when AIMP could stream you tube videos; It was very convenient to have it all in one program.
