I spent a lot of time near creeks and lakes as a kid and lived an hour from the Gulf of Mexico. As I got older, I got to experience the great lakes, which is the only thing I've experienced that's land-locked and resembles oceans and beaches.

They look pretty horny. Might want to watch out

Just wait until you hear about The Big Crunch

[–] EABOD25@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago

That's not true. Where I live now, the beach is an hour or two away, and an hour or two from farmland. There's all kinds of areas in the southern US like that. And to-be-fair, I'm counting the Gulf of Mexico as ocean lol

I was in the navy, so i spent too much time at beaches and the ocean

[–] EABOD25@lemm.ee 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

But the ocean?

Ah fuck, buddy. That was almost ten years ago

It's weird to think about that there's people who live so far inland that they've never seen a beach with their own eyes

When I worked at a movie theater, I had a customer refund their tickets because of the actors with British accents

Too much copium, my friend

I love cooking and I love people loving my cooking. However, I don't like getting told what to do for long term, so working in a kitchen or restaurant is probably a bad position for me. I've given years of thinking about working or running a food truck with a rotating menu. It'd be cool to travel around and see different people a day enjoying my different dishes, but I've never actually heard the everyday ins-and-outs of working in a food truck. What are some experiences (good or bad) working in a food truck that you could share?

So recently learned from my doc that I need to follow a low fodmap diet. It's no big deal as long as I can eat potatoes (so many amazing things you can do with potatoes). I was wondering if anyone had some great low fodmap recipes that I could make that my wife (who doesn't need to follow the diet) and I could enjoy. I'm the cook, so as long as she enjoys it, we're good to go. I just made julienne fries with an egg on top and I found this amazing LFODMAP Louisiana hot sauce that I poured over it all. One of the best brunches Iade since I've had to follow this diet.

Edit: Thank you to those who are supportive of medical conditions such as IBS, Crohns, and Celiacs (which are the conditions that should use a low FODMAP diet). Also I'm very appreciative of people who are knowledgeable in the diet that I am referring to

FODMAP MEANS fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols. All the things that are known to trigger reactions in certain GI issues that some people have. It's an important issue because you have serotonin receptors in your GI tract. It can also impact daily life and sleep!

However, I'm asking for recipes for low FODMAP diets. I ask very respectfully that if you do comment, please give me a recipe(s) instead of expressing the importance of the diet or that you know what the diet is.

Again, respectfully, recipes, please. Stop telling me you know what the diet is.

So I've discovered recently that instead the moderators and admins doing their due diligence, they'll just ban your IP. I can't wait for this to blow up in their face.

Videos games aren't supposed to be realistic. I'm not supposed to put myself in the position of a real socom or seal or delta or recons or X18 for that matter. I don't want to.play a video game that represents reality. That's not what video games are about. Video games are supposed to be void of reality. Destiny, baldurs gate, elder scrolls, Mario, metal gear, etc... That's what video gaming is supposed to be. Not real situations that could/would occur like call of duty. CoD is a garbage game and it's offensive for them to remaster the bullshit and then expect people to pay for the bullshit that they couldn't justify having paid for when the game(s] was first released. Do not fall for the Microsoft trap

Hear me out. There's a lot of signs that I see that Tywin is actually trying to help Tyrion. The key moment is when Tywin yells Tyrion that he is worthless and doesn't anywhere near the family or Kings Landing and that he should disappear and do his own thing. Afterwards Tywin forces Tyrion marry Sansa that would have not only secured Lannister and Baratheon support to secure the north, it would have made Tyrion a lord, and a lord to one of the most honest and noble houses in the entire mythos.

Tywin never made any claim to another person that his son disgusted him Tye only time he would same something of that sort was in front of Tywin himself. He would always defend him as a Lannister no matter what. Tywin was even well aware of Shay and let it go until the king died. Tywin was calculating and wise. He would know how to talk to his child to guarantee they seek their own path. Another show of this is at Tyrion's trial. Jaime sacrifices what he wants for his brother and Tywin accepts it without hesitation.

My theory is Tywin was never meant to hate Tyrion, but knew that Tyrion could be doing greater things than the politics of his house, and wanted Tyrion to be free of the house because that would be the only way. Tywin even tells the story that he was going to throw Tyrion into the ocean, but he didn't. He let him live. He never explains why he let Tyrion live. He just did. Was it love for your child? I think so. I don't believe Tywin wanted the same life for Tyrion, but thanks to Cersei, Tyrion was just pushed too far

Let me preface this by saying I am a man, and smoked a little too much, so I'm sitting here thinking... what is or was the original purpose of a bra? Weight support? Vanity? Covering the nips so people's eyes met your eyes and you can have a normal conversation? Like what's it all about?

The name of the article is "The Measure of Online Disinhibition (MOD): Assessing perceptions of reductions in restraint in the online environment"

It's essentially a study of the drop of human inhibitions while communicating with people online and the potential causes and impacts. It highlights that people tend to treat others more harshly on the internet

I personally feel this is important because witg enough studies and attention, we as internet users can begin to change how we treat others
