I think thats really just down to the media. Like the media is how newer parties get known so they can actually capture the vote, and its also why the LNP keep getting voted in so frequently.

Real talk, they didn't vote for Trump because Harris is a POC woman, the reasoning seems to be much simpler, and dumber
