Republicans are worse than democrats in general, but on this issue they really are the same.

It's frustrating how shitty Republicans can be and yet Democrats still insist on adopting all their positions and getting endorsed by them.

If you look at the x axis it may not be new to the fossils running our government, but it's new to anyone under 40, Harris massively underperforming with young people is pretty directly that.

I voted PSL actually, and I don't even use tiktok.

That you're running into the same opinions on there too indicates that this is a broader sentiment and that if younger people are complaining about blue maga it could be a behavior/performance issue from Democrats rather than regarding propagandists on a niche forum poisoning everyones minds.

I doubt that my many international readers had any impact on the election.

Expressing an unorthodox political opinion online has a comparable impact to kicking millions of people off their Medicaid. noted ✅

My state went for Harris even with my protest vote. 🤷

I don't have a citation for you of Kamala saying exactly that- but yeah that was more a Biden line.

Your party is in power, it gets held responsible.

I'm not here to make you feel better about their mistakes

One of the frustrations was that they would be talking about how the economy was doing great... if you were a homeowner. The inflation was also in things like rent which they have no intent on really addressing, but disproportionately gets omitted from broader stats regarding inflation despite people getting $500+ rent increases shortly after the end of the COVID eviction protections.

The origins of “the far left” (as I understood it) was basically promoting heavy government involvement. For example, breaking up monopolies, many government subsidied programs for it’s people, which in turn needs higher taxes for it people (so the rich get taxed more, the poor get taxed less).

People on the far left were actually interested in expropriation of private property and a more egalitarian distribution of those resources and decisionmaking. They also wanted actual democracy (as in power to the people) rather than Democracy™ where it's only for a handful of the population who aren't getting actively disenfranchised.

If you nationalize industries you get to use the profits directly, rather than messing around with taxes after the fact.

Democrats deserve contempt for supporting a genocide trying to win at electoralism and still losing.
