Nah, the other stuff will all fit on your computer's hard drive, this is only for porn. They should call it the Porn Drive.

Imagine that you're awake, with your eyes open, aware of the issues in the world, and wanting to be part of making it better, and...

...there's a massive number of people who think you're a shithead for believing that, and should probably be murdered for it. Just do what they tell you.

During the pandemic quarantine, I took up the guitar, but unlike most Covid hobbies, I've stuck with it, and gotten pretty good.

Getting good at something difficult results in great feelings, as you can imagine, but I wasn't prepared for how much better it made me feel. My self-esteem and confidence went through the roof, and made me realize that I've probably been operating under a low-grade depression for my entire life.

Sometimes we're depressed and don't even know it. You come to accept that it's just how you feel, and that's your life. You don't even know it can be better, until it is.

I've used Samsungs for years, but they have gotten too expensive for what I need, so I went for a Pixel this time around. I got issues with it, but mostly because I'm so used to the Samsung universe. Still way better than an Apple.

I guess I'm a Spanish drug dealer now.

Right. The only thing wrong with this murder is that it is so rare.

It's especially true because it was actually very effective, at least temporarily. The Corporate Serial Killer's company eased up on their rejections for a while, and so did every other health care company.

This is nothing less than the Free Market at work, doing what it is supposed to do. The Corporate Serial Killer took his sociopathic policies too far, and provoked a response from the market in an attempt to correct the issue. The elimination of the Corporate Serial Killer caused the company to adjust its policies so they didn't provoke such a strong response, and other companies in the sector (and possibly other sectors as well) noticed it, and adjusted their policies as a result.

Conservatives should be celebrating this event. This is the Free Market at work, which is the literal religion of conservatives. This is EXACTLY what they claim they want the markets to do.

Of course, they don't really want the "Free Market" to be truly Free. They just want it rigged in their favor.

That's a very common chain of thinking for people with poor Critical Thinking Skills.

A new trial isn't automatic. Many Hung Juries are never tried again, because often the District Attorney has no reason to believe that the outcome will be any different in another expensive trial.

A hung jury in Luigi's case would definitely be re-tried, over and over, if necessary, but after 3 or 4 hung juries, they'd probably finally give up, and blame liberals.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 2 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

No, that is WRONG. It only requires ONE juror to refuse to vote Guilty, and it's a Hung Jury.

They are getting more and more out of touch, and they have no idea it's happening.

We're seeing signs of it every day. A Healthcare CEO is murdered, and the alleged murderer has the majority of the population on his side. A Democratic Socialist wins the NYC mayoral primary by a wide margin, and even his own party disparages him. Jobs are going unfilled because people are refusing to work for minimal wages, while corporations and the government sneer that they are lazy gamers. The streets are filling with enormous crowds of protesters, and their numbers grow with each demonstration.

The Revolution is coming, and all of us are it know it, but the Sociopathic Oligarchs, and their enslaved politicians have no idea. They still think they are in charge, but it is only the ingrained politeness of the American citizenry that has kept their blood from flowing in the gutters.

Once the American people lose their patience with the wealthy and their political slaves, it is going to get very, very ugly for the MAGA Nazis and their enablers (including weak, simpering, spineless Democrats like Chuck Schumer).

Sooner or later he would have been offered the CEO position of a big health tech start-up, it would have grown for a few years, than either gone public or sold for several billion, and he'd be the Billionaire he was angling to be.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 1 hour ago

He was making that much now, but his salary would have increased steadily, as his immoral policies brought in more profit by murdering their customers. He would have reached Billionaire status far quicker than 40 years.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 7 points 1 hour ago

He may not have been a Billionaire - YET - but at his age, he certainly saw himself on that track. He was already ordering horrific policies on behalf of increased profit, so he would look good to his bosses and move up the ladder. He was already an active corporate serial killer, murdering people to advance his career and net worth. Eventually, if he sacrificed enough customers on the altar of profit, he would be rewarded with a Billionaireship.
