What is the "Best" instance for Canadians to join on Lemmy?

Subs like r/BuyFromEU have exploded in Reddit, with 140k users and many more eyes on it, the movement has even made news in many countries.

This is a great place to make people aware of the existence of Lemmy.

On popular posts of people switching away from a US product, I like to comment variants of

While you're at it

Try out the European-Hosted Reddit alternative, Lemmy
It also has a Mobile-App

I use it alongside Reddit, and I'm enjoying it more and more, slowly switching over

Lemmy already has a growing c/buyEuropean community.

r/BoycottUnitedStates is also and option and so is r/BuyCanadian with 285k users, this is a big audience that wants to move away from US products like Reddit.

Spread the awareness of Lemmy.

I had a look at voyager, and it's UX is perfect for new users. It would be great to get the web to that point https://photon.lemmy.world/ seems quite good, maybe that should be default.

Yes it does depend on the front end.

But that's the thing its not the default front end.

Most users will give up before discovering Photon.

The default experience should be very smooth and require little to no effort and thinking. Like what everyone has gotten used to

This will keep happening until Lemmy etc. Have good UX

For the vast majority of users the UX just sucks for most of the fediverse

We need to push for or fund better UX

What app do you use?

I'm new to Lemmy and quite tech savvy.

I'd like to get more people I know to join, but the standard UI really wasn't nice. Thanks for showing me Photon, I like it so much more!!

I'm using Sync on mobile, I miss the Upvote & Downvote bar, any idea how to get it back?
