Issue is bluesky is where they're going but from what I've read a bridge could be made? Still very new to this, not sure how that would work.
I would not take that bet lol, i guarantee they are tweaking over this and scared about how this effects shareholders, they should be more worried about all the sus nsfw stuff right next to ads for "wholesome" companies
explaining the fediverse would be you join different servers but can still play together?
reddit is run by the free help
but lemmys great because the ppl that really fit a specific type congregate in certain servers and then you can just block the whole server, at least thats what I've been told, I'm still fairly new
How do advertisers feel comfortable with the NSFL posts on reddit being shown next to their ads
Also insane to me they went public with all of the illegal stuff constantly posted on there and the only moderation being volunteers
Reddits user policy having you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, etc. license to modify, adapt, preserve anything you've said as well as your name, username, and likeness is wild.
Selling user content for money training AI, while providing nothing themselves. Mfs killed forums by making reddit seem nice and convenient, then went and ruined it, just working for free, power is its own reward. Ghislaine maxwell being a power reddit user will always be wild to me.
This is honestly so nice, every "clone" should have a similar interface for ppl swapping to make it easier, I love customization and different interfaces but I was only able to transition to lemmy because of its similarities to reddit, specifically the third party apps
I dont understand how to join or post on peertube, its the most confusing, do you host your own, is there a feed of all the servers?
