Also important to note this guy assaulted an FBI agent and is considered at risk to continue committing crimes, a major reason he was denied bond and is currently in jail awaiting trial
I don't want to diminish what this guy did. But let's remember that people died and were hurt that day as a result of what these 19 assholes did. They all should be in jail without bond.

The judge said the reason she denied bail is because he is considered a flight risk and a risk for continuing to commit crimes.

Heck, even for the publicity.
He's been hoping Trump or his PAC would hire him a lawyer. But he's probably better off getting an independent Georgia lawyer, without conflicts of interest, who will help him flip for a deal. I'm not sure how Trump et al haven't considered this, not to mention how it looks leaving the black guy in prison.

I'm super curious as to why he didn't qualify for a public defender.
State of Georgia: Qualifications for a public defender are based on personal income. A public defender is typically reserved for those having an income of 125% the poverty line or less in the State of Georgia.
The notion that he requires "out-of-state" representation is likely because his crew (Trump et al.) are trying to railroad a particular counsel for him. The reasons for that can vary, but the rationale aside, the crew seems unwilling to finance representation for him.
The Judge in this case seems unsympathetic to the development, which I would say good. These cretins have routinely abused the judicial system with their unfounded election fraud cases, none of them should be given benefit of the doubt. The more prosecutors splinter the crew, the more likely they'll have someone turning State's evidence.
Poverty level for a family of four in Georgia is about 27k.
