So, yeah, that dude is 100% racist...

But I guess his lawyer is suing him for millions that it's already been ruled the lawyer isn't entitled too, and that lawyer got texts from the racist and his (equally racist) gf somehow entered into court for a different case the racist isn't even involved in.

And there's no mention of why or what that case is and how it's relevant... The article says when journalists contacted the racist about the texts, he didn't even know they'd been entered into court documents

The parts of the letter in the article from the lawyer definitely sounds like blackmail too.

Their relationship soured in early 2021. In the ensuing feud, Smith claimed that Millsap had promised him a third of his family company, as well as compensation for extra legal work — and, in a letter from his attorney, demanded that Millsap pay him $24 million within four business days: “We, however, have no interest in harming Mr. Millsap or disrupting his deal, his impending marriage, his future deals, or anything else.”

Like, if the employment agreement really says the lawyers gets these millions of dollars, then sure, he should get it.

But this seems like a failed attempt at blackmail where the blackmailer is trying to follow through after not being paid. Not someone bravely standing up against discrimination and bigotry.

I think this is one of situations where everyone is an asshole.

Yeah this didn't come to light out of altruism or a "coming to god" moment where their conscience suddenly came into play. But I also don't care how or why bigots get exposed. No sympathy for an asshole getting screwed over by another asshole. If these are the kinds of games you play and this is the company you keep you're gonna get burned eventually.
