I'm not even sure why people still are willing to buy there. Aren't insurance companies going to give you hell if your house floods in a flood areas?
Or increase your premium.
Why would you even want to deal with your house getting flooded.
Apparently insurance companies can refuse to cover flood damage for new buildings in flood areas. I wonder how that works for that new housing development: will potential buyers have to be told before the sale that they won't be able to get insurance for flood damage, or is that just something that they'll have to discover on their own?
