Once upon a time my daughter had eye appointments at the RCH every 3 months. Every 2nd visit there was eye drops involved. Usually she was very good at this but one time I was in a consultanting room and she refused to take them (little bugger) and a clown who was clearly going for a break stopped in and asked if he could help. After a few laughs we got the drops in and I mouthed "thank you" and he put his hand on my shoulder and said "you're welcome" and I've never ever forgotten that. โฅ The staff and many volunteers really do a wonderful job there.

Breakfassssst. Going to go for a look at Yackandandah on my way back today. I'd never heard of it but there is a new big sign on the Hume which mentions it.. unless I just missed it all these years.
Might stop in Beechworth for some Billson's too. See how I feel.
A chill day/evening of writing a new song and playing with cat/video games.
This is the life.
Also I bought a fancy light bulb that I can control with my phone. It changes colours!
Really feel like I'm living in the future. Like that show "Beyond 2000" if anyone remembers it.
Who ever installed that soap dispenser above the tap also tried the whisky.
If the mirror is that bad then whisky dick wonโt be an issue
I'm finally starting to feel better. Just in time for the housemate to get back tomorrow
hugs
For dinner tonight I am having baked potatoes, steamed vegies and honey beef sausages with beer mustard
Hope everyone is able to enjoy this beautiful autumn day. ๐
Not a fan of the deals in the maccas app recently. It's all '20% off your next order' of some ridiculous amount or 'free nuggets with any delivery'.
I'm not going to do either of those. I never want anything in particular from McDonalds, I just want a treat from the crap factory. I used to check the deals and get whatever was discounted and that's it.
They're getting smarter with their deals and using them to encourage you to do what they want you to do instead of offering cheap food. I'll have to wait and see if they change their strategy
I have done nothing but sleep and read (and a little bit of necessary shopping) today and yesterday. I have finally woken up with some energy and the relief that comes from realising it was exhastion/burnout creeping in not depression. Because sleep helped.
Gonna spend the evening doing the rounds of the houseplants and staking/fertilising/checking ๐ฅ๐ฑ๐ฑ
Ah ha! I have remembered where I hid a dark Tim Tam from Boyo last week before he inhaled the whole box. ๐บ
Went out for dinner today and had to deal with an angry boomer.
Dude was jaywalking with his missus nowhere near a crossing. I stopped and beeped to remind him he was a being a knob. He approached my car until I got out to have a polite chat.
Somehow being half a foot taller and being 40 kgs heavier got him to apologize very quickly.
He was very relieved when I shook his hand and said 'its all good have a good night'
Dude was lucky he wasn't.. bjjayed
Nah, that's not me. I just wanted to deflate his ego a bit.

I got a can of yanky style strawberry Fanta on Monday and I've been waiting til I got better to try it. It's actually really good. I don't think I'm quite at 100% taste yet, but I do really like it. Deffo recommend if anybody wants a can of sugar imported directly from America. Only trouble is that it says "soda" on it, which triggers a deep seated sense of disgust inside me. Oh and it's in fl oz
anyone have an e bike they recommend? looking for something to ride to/from work and the shops, really (recreational rides will take place on existing bike).
Cost not really a factor, but would prefer something with good range, easily removable battery and that I can put a pannier rack on. and know, generally good quality... I keep getting distracted by bikes that just look good, so any guidance appreciated!
If you're a bigger person like me, look at the Kalkhoff range. I have an older model that I've had for 7-8 years. Gets ~90km on the lowest assist. They are very good bikes. On the expensive side though. Definitely look for a mid-drive one, they are a lot smoother to ride, and the extra weight is centralised so it feels like a regular bike.
Mid drive only.

Check out rev bikes. They also convert pedal bikes (got my Malvern Star done, still going strong 2,000km later)
I have a Rilu model D-30. Bog standard electric bike at the cheaper end of the market. Comes with pannier racks and the battery is under them over the back wheel, and is easily removable but can be locked in place with a key. Only downsides for me are that you can't have a front handlebar basket, and the built in rear light is a bit fragile, so I use my own lights. I also had an issue at the start where the back wheel couldn't cope with a really heavy load of shopping and collapsed, but I believe this issue has now been fixed for this design. I have a milk crate permanently wired to the pannier racks which fits an Aldi cooler bag and my handbag & shopping goes in that to limit the load. Had it 6 years now and still using the original battery. I get 80-100 k from one charge using mid range power. Ride it every day to & from work - About 15 k round trip plus shopping & fast food trips. Designed and built in Melbourne from imported parts.
Man with hole in hands is incredibly strong. He removed a giant boulder at the back. Now we have extra storage space.
I'm not convinced he was a young man. I think he was elderly, woke up and wandered off somewhere.
Probably looking for a nice cuppa tea and a bickie.
After freshening up he looks like he's early 30s, but he might not be human so he could be any age.
He mightโve freshened up but he forgot his trousers before he wandered out into the big wide desert.
That's alright. His long shirt has pockets.
Long shirt? It's more like a pillow case.
Brace yourself. He may not show up for work tomorrow. Best warn the piranhas.
Do you guys think tonight will be a big night in the city, or tomorrow night?
