Networking.

Current and previous 2 jobs were through people at those jobs that I've known for years.

Depends on the field, but one common factor is I always make a point to go in when it isn't busy and speak with the manager. I have been told many times after being hired that was specifically what set me apart.

Hah, I can see why but not quite. I'm a millennial (sigh). Sometimes the old ways still work best, though I'll admit my approach wouldn't work in a corporate environment. I come from a history in Restaurants and Sales.

I go to my hometown's Discord server and ask if anyone needs any position filled.

Your hometown’s got a Discord server ? That’s nice

Don’t most towns/cities? All it takes is a willing maker.
