I usually stay away from the political content for the reason you mentioned, but I figured I'd chime in and say I think this was a good decision. Stonetoss is a piece of shit, but there are plenty of other places on the internet for posts like that to happen.

Personally, I agree with this stance: Even if there are people who I think either deserve or need doxxing, this is not a community suited for planning direct action. It's public, it is probably not used with good opsec by most people, and we don't need Beehaw admins to be having to deal with subpoenas for IP addresses when some Nazi gets punched and someone accuses Beehaw of being the reason.
I think you made the right call, and your explanation is wonderfully eloquent. Thanks for all your efforts
I agree with the removal.
People don't seem to grasp how terrible doxxing can be. It's easy to distance yourself from the consequences when everything happens online and all is forgotten within a day or two. If you call the police to deal with a problem, you should expect violence. In a similar way, expecting to make people accountable when you sick an angry anonymous mob on them is foolish. Violence is the most likely result.
Well stated. Once again, thank you for all the hard work you do around here!
