I really like the Kinect, I just wish it hadn't been caught up in the whole Xbox One fiasco and games forcing it in creating annoyance.

If it had been more easily compatible with PCs, using a single, regular, USB 3 connector, compatible with Steam and so on, it could still see myself using it for many types of games.

And come on, a Kinect 100% beats the weird IR towers for motion tracking that take up the entire room.

Yeah it could have been a really nice gaming controller if Microsoft had made it more compatible with it's largest gaming platform: Windows

My wife really enjoyed the dance games and they were pretty good for accuracy. Bummer, I was hoping for it to make a come back.

Microsoft is discontinuing the Kinect — again. The company officially stopped manufacturing the depth camera and microphone in 2017 and brought it back in a new form in 2019 as the Azure Kinect Developer Kit. Now, Microsoft is ending production of that, too

I didn't know they brought it back
