When I read that tweet from her, I was shocked. And some people said it's proof that she's mentally unstable because no one will do that.

I started to believe that, but i remembered there's at least one profession where people pretend or purposely try to get injured during work time so that they get health insurance and extra time off.

It's Pro Wrestling. More specifically, WWE.

WWE superstars are on road for 300 days a year doing matches that obviously damage their bodies. They are incentivised to not take time off to heal because working through pain makes them a lot more money. But when they get injured, they try to grind it out through injury or hide it to make it seem that they were injured in ring. Otherwise they wouldn't get health insurance for the injury and would probably get mocked for taking time off.

Here's the proof.

Maven and Madison's stints with their respective workplaces are similar. Just like Madison, Maven was a fan. He won the reality tv show tough enough and got signed and trained by the WWE and worked there 4 four years before being released for not being good enough despite working through injury.

And in the video above, he explains what I said.

Remembering this detail, I now understand Madison's then mindset a lot better. She was probably under tremendous pressure, losing her brother recently, her dream job being a total nightmare, getting sexually harassed. No wonder she had mental health issues at that time.
