A ringing endorsement, a tv arbitration judge

[–] mateomaui@reddthat.com 27 points 8 months ago

Perfect for the ex-reality tv gameshow host.

I'm not sure "arbitration judge" is the right term.

[–] Brunbrun6766@lemmy.world 20 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I mean that is what she is. None of her cases are criminal or of any consequence it's all arbitration, most of which is already determined off screen and played for entertainment on tv

[–] fine_sandy_bottom@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Is she actually a judge though? That's a fairly meaningful term.

[–] Mango@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 8 months ago

Huh, it looks like she was an actual judge prior to her TV stuff. Manhattan family court judge from 1982 - 1996.

[–] hperrin@lemmy.world 52 points 8 months ago

Fuck them both, and fuck Trump too.

She’s been on tv longer than Trump has, too

Apparently those who want to make America white and misogynist again are nostalgic. Who would have thunk. /s

My grandma would be super disappointed to find out Judge Judy was a piece of crap Republican. Wapner was better anyway.

[–] NegativeInf@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

My grandma would pop an aneurysm if she found out Judge Judy weren't a Republican.

[–] PhlubbaDubba@lemm.ee 18 points 8 months ago

Funnily enough, I wouldn't be surprised if this actually boosts Haley if she can get it broadcasted enough.

Regular Judge Judy viewers are probably the exact demographic she's trying to reach at this point lol.

[–] NevermindNoMind@lemmy.world 12 points 8 months ago

Well Trump's fucked now /s

[–] crandlecan@mander.xyz 10 points 8 months ago
