I've been playing PC games for 25 years and this is the first time I have ever seen anyone even imply people pronounce WASD as a word. I'm not saying it's wrong (or even worse) but....yeah, I've only ever heard it spelled out

I spent first 10 years of my life spelling it out, then heard it as a word and it stuck immediately. Unpopular opinion it seems.

Wazz-D is the norm from everything I've heard, seen, done. But then again, I still say mana as man-uh, not maw-nuh. Still dunno which is right for that one.

But gif is gif not jiff. At least we got that one mostly nailed down.
