Got caught by the police and forgot it at home? 10€. Not having a license in general? That‘s a paddlin‘. More can be found here.

10€ plus you have to visit your police during the next few days and show your license.

If it's a German license then they can just look it up online. Happened to me, didn't even have to pay the 10 Euro.

@letthesunshinein @cashews_best_nut

Well... You CAN do everything. The bigger question here is: "Is it legal?"

They will write you a ticket for 10€.

But if you’re not a German citizen they’ll probably detain you for identification.

But I can still drive as long as I don't get caught?

No, if you drive and dont get caught, the police will come to you.

You can do everything if you don’t get caught ;)

If you don’t get caught who is going to stop you? I am not sure I understand the question. 😄

Yes, most cars drive with petrol, not with a license.

There is no such thing as "don't get caught" in Germany.

They simply continue to chase you until they got you, or maybe you choose to leave the country, or maybe you choose to leave this world...

:-)

No. Costs 10€ if you are caught

But I am not sure if they will let you continue driving if caught.

I know what you're asking, but it reminds me of something a drill sergeant once told me: you can do whatever you want, just don't get caught.

Cars in Germany are telepathic and won't start unless you have your license with you. Also, your car is very upset about what you looked at on the internet last night.
