There are some people who have set up instances that automatically pull content from Reddit. I'm betting one of the big players you're seeing in that noise is from the lemmit instance.

Seems to be a couple of bots, it's not a technical question as I know how to block them, just curious why it's necessary to have such clutter in the first place
Some people seem to think it's a good idea. Blocking must work well because I've not seen them for a long time.
