I go from -"that's stupid" to "aww hell no" the second I find out the school accepts even a single dollar of taxpayer money.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

They're listed as a registered nonpublic school by NJ's Dept of Ed, which also notes (on the page I found that first link on), "Nonpublic schools are eligible to receive services for their students through several state and federal programs,", plus that page has information on applying for grants to pay teachers and money for COVID related expenses, so, yeah, they're almost certainly receiving a couple of taxpayer dollars
"Roman Catholic school".
The leopards eating faces religion...
Catholics only recognize one means of conception and that's being raped by the Holy Spirit while still a minor. Anything else would just be wrong.
Last I checked incest was still fair game? Am I that out of touch?
Also ordained priests with underage boys. It's still in it's experimental phase, but they're pretty sure it's gonna work

Thank you!! I had never seen that!
Now if her partner was underage she might have a shot.
Sad and very true.
The school claimed, however, that the termination was because Crisitello, in having premarital sex, violated the terms of her employment agreement, which stipulated that employees must abide by the teachings of the Catholic Church.
And yet they protect and cover up the crimes of the priests who rape children. Why do they get a pass on abiding by the teachings of the Catholic Church? Does taking vows not include an employment agreement to not rape kids? What gives?
It's simple - she was a lowly teacher, and being pregnant is a problem women have that proves they had sex - And women are property in the good book, and a woman only has worth if they are virgins to be sold off as cattle (hence why the good book says a rapist must marry his victim and give her family 30 pieces of silver or whatever it was)
The priests are part of the "upper management" if you will, and there is no physical giveaway that they had raped anyone - nothing grows and becomes unhidable on the priest when they rape and molest children, and therefore they can go along and never address something happened unless forced to address it, and it's only been how many years since the world found out just how bad it's been, and I still think it's only the tip of the pedo iceberg
Bodily autocracy crowd strikes again. Religion has no place in educational institutions beyond teaching aspiring grifters -- I mean preachers -- how to run the con. Get them out of running hospitals too, that's just another avenue for tightening their grip on the vulnerable.
weird how they punish this but I've seen estimates that up to 30% catholic clergy are pedophiles. I guess its not okay or forgiveable for people to be having consenting sex as adults. Let the church that is without sin cast the first stone.
I don't understand, if they must obey Catholic law, they have confession and all that to forgive sins don't they? Nothing about getting fired as a teacher for sinning in their rule book is there?
welcome to the bible, where everything is made up and the rules don't matter
Didn't realize fornicators were cast out of the Church altogether.
Not very "love your neighbor as yourself" of them.
Not very "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" of them.
You think they've ever sat down a read that thing?
Technically we're not allowed to go to the bathroom.
Wow...
