We have a winner!!
I’m gonna say Rod Serling? Not sure if the spelling is correct.
Rod Serling
Which series? The original or the 2019 one?
Oh shit! I was thinking Rod Serling, but then you drop this bombshell. Jordan Peele. But Serling was the original narrator and creator. Fun fact: "Serling's good friend, Private Melvin Levy, ventured out to watch an aircraft drop off food crates to the beleaguered paratroopers. Levy was joking about where the food would fall when one of the crates landed on his head and decapitated him as Serling looked on in horror."
Supposedly, that's the inspiration for the Twilight Zone.

I myself make the mistake of confusing Rod Serling with Gene Roddenberry. So I have a whole different Mandela Effect going on.
i have no idea
Rod sterling. (For transparency, I clicked on this thread to reply with this answer and in doing so I did see that everyone has answered ‘Serling’ and thus suspect that I’m just remembering a more common, well-known word. But I being 36 on know his name in the retrospective and apparently misread it.)
Nelson Mandela
