A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.

much thanks to @gary_host_laptop for the logo design :)
I doubt it - This covers your screen if you try to view someone else’s instagram post when not logged into an account. I expect OP just wants to see the post without giving meta their data.
I thought the same thing. Seriously? Posting to Privacy asking how to get on to instagram…
Asking how to view content from corporate social media without giving it more information than an IP address and user agent string does seem on-brand for /c/privacy to me.
Yeah that’s fair. They will have that data anyway, saves him giving it willingly
While showing what he was trying to look at.
No
Can you please NSFW-tag this
I'll say this for OP, the man knows what he likes
So does the algorithm apparently
Tbf they’re looking at a specific person’s account (look at the link)
my brother, is pornhub blocked in your country? why do you settle for ig pics
Ain't nothing wrong with supporting your wifes side hustle 😤🙏
That's a kink you won't understand.
These Instagram models are nothing but trouble
Homie's asking the real questions
Little bit sus.
Go to the ublock origin extension in firefox and click open dashboard. Then unter filter lists make sure to select everything under annoyances. I haven't tested it but it should work
Edit: Also click the confirm and update icons at the top
Damn why did I not know of this before
Doesn't work :(
Does work for me. But it works better on the phone somehow.
Edit: Also works for me after disabling the filters again. Don't ask me why. It usually doesn't work for me, but guess today is my lucky day.
You block it by switching to #pixelfed.
But who'll ask kendra to switch?
🤣
OP.
Dude c'mon you can do better than Instagram for this or for anything for that matter
Very privacy minded I see.
Privates minded, maybe
Down horrendous
There was a project that did this but has since been abandoned by its developers.
It’s one of those privacy respecting front ends like piped or invidious for YouTube, libre Reddit reader or whatever, or Nitter for Twitter for example.
Are you referring to imginn? I just noticed the site is mot there anymore.
RIP *Libreddit
Make a proton email account or something similar and use it as a burner
sometimes it's possible to view Instagram's profiles from picuki.com without logged in (but beware, it's full of trackers)
Edit: since bibliogram.art is dead I've tried imginn.org and gramhir.com with varying degrees of success in the past, today neither seems to work.
I've been using iganony.io and it does the job for me. For some reason it always shows a couple old posts before the latest posts. Picuki.com stopped working for me at some point and I assume it was a Firefox extension that was causing issues. I was too lazy to do any troubleshooting to fix it.
I only ever use it to see my tattoo artist's work and grab the progress videos of my sleeve she is currently working on. My experience with Instagram and viewers are super limited so I can't really say if iganony.io is good or not.
Nice find, I didn't know that one. Thank you :)
If you insist on using Instagram just log in with a burner account. What difference does it make?
Logging in makes it easier for them to track you across devices and apps. Do you mean a burner for each time you access it from a link?
I see you are a man of culture. An erudite some would say. Are you perhaps well read in the works of the other Kendras? Like Sunderland, Spade or even James?
