I never played the first one, so I don't know what better features are missing. But I love this game so far.

Goes to a different school, you wouldn't know them

There's a few small nagging issues I have with the game, but I don't see why it got so much negative press so early on. It's a little content light, but it's still plenty fun and the city building and economic simulation tools seem like a great foundation for the future.

And once mods get involved? Ooh! This is gonna be good

This part tells so much. You are paying full price for the finished game, not what it should become once community builds content.

This game is already the best city builder ever made. I would happily play it in its release state for years. Continuing support and mods are a bonus.

That's my whole point, they should be bonus and not a necessary thing to fix what developers didn't add. Mind you I didn't play this game, just pointing out that mod support and community content is an added bonus, not base game. Base game needs to be good for the asking price.

Huh? Didn't buy it, the game is on GamePass.

I'll probably nab it once it gets fleshed out a bit or has a sale.

I stopped buying Bethesda games, with exception what id software releases. No problems there.

That's what I'm sayin! Foundation is solid enough I could sink a couple hundred hours in this game EASILY!

I put a couple hundred hours into the first one, and I agree with you 100%. There are some performance issues and we don't have the pile of assets and subsystems that come with years of DLCs and mods, but the fundamental city building experience is a ton of fun. 50 hours in to CS2 and I'm not quite done with my very first city yet!

Wow that's a lot of high density. Your traffic must be insane. You must have a million elementary schools lol.

Set up public transport so now there's only two roads in and out of my city with minimal traffic! Tram system + subway system for the win!
