Be nice!

[–] Amazinghorse@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

I do believe there is a sub on that other site called Maps without New Zealand..

[–] Pissnpink@feddit.uk 27 points 11 months ago

On the map only to be excluded from the circle

[–] Caesium@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago

it still makes the statement correct

[–] Siegfried@lemmy.world 26 points 11 months ago (3 children)

Thats the worst circle i have ever seen

But you have seen it!

[–] Everythingispenguins@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

That is just an artifact of the map projection

[–] dirtbiker509@lemm.ee 1 points 11 months ago

My thoughts too. Put that back on a globe and it's pretty damn close to a circle! Considering it's hand drawn..

[–] thisisbutaname@discuss.tchncs.de 24 points 11 months ago (1 children)

New Zealand get your shit together

[–] Kiwi_Girl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 11 months ago

Aye aye cap'n

[–] kaffiene@lemmy.world 21 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Yeah? Well at least in NZ we know how to draw a freaking circle. Didn't want to be in your stinky club anyway

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I know the author is Terrible Maps so I probably shouldn't complain, but what are those continent colour groupings?

[–] beebarfbadger@lemmy.world 13 points 11 months ago (1 children)

They're not grouped, that's what the planet actually looks like from space.

[–] smeg@feddit.uk 4 points 11 months ago

Can't believe I made such a foolish blunder in front of the head of NASA, my apologies doctor

The future lacks the Middle East?

Hey I don't know how economic free transit areas like the EU wold show up. But that's what I'm imagining, also a lot of it it's there

[–] Toes@ani.social 15 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Are kiwis really people let's be honest

[–] Darkenfolk@dormi.zone 17 points 11 months ago

Well no, they are a fruit.

[–] dab@lemmy.world 11 points 11 months ago

I wonder how many people live outside the red circle and have to commute to work within it.

[–] pooberbee@lemmy.ml 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

This is false. The red circle is too small to fit more than maybe a couple fetuses, depending on your screen size.

[–] UltraMagnus0001@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago
[–] EveryMuffinIsNowEncrypted@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I mean, considering this map excludes Antarctica, and there are people living (at least temporarily) in Antarctica, it is technically true.

[–] Octagon9561@lemmy.ml 12 points 11 months ago

You’re forgetting New Zealand haha.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website 12 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Also New Zealand, but I've heard that the science is still out about whether or not they actually exist.

[–] luthis@lemmy.nz 9 points 11 months ago

We don't, it's a psy-op.

[–] AeonFelis@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Can "in" and "out" be meaningfully defined though, considering that circle is on a globe though?

[–] Rodeo@lemmy.ca 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Crabs, deep sea squids, coral polyps, and sea sponges are all people now.

[–] Tier1BuildABear@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

How tall is the red wall? If it's only at sea level than this is entirely false, most people's would be above it.

[–] rasensprenger@feddit.de 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It just goes up all the way

[–] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 1 points 11 months ago

So satellites, the moon, the planets all crash into it? Nice try.

[–] SCB@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Ah this meme makes me nostalgic for back before everyone else got on the internet.

Red circle map, you were joy back in the day

[–] SinJab0n@mujico.org 2 points 11 months ago

I mean, if we can't see the circle that means its a really big one, so.....

Duh....

[–] uis@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago)

More Gentoo live outside red circle than inside of it.
