Something only partially obvious from the map - most of the deep red and some deep blue areas are almost empty.

Also known as España vaciada (empty Spain).

Most of Spain is really sparsely populated.

Anyone know what the red section in the left side of the Valencia map is? It stands out as a sharp contrast and defining line between it and the surrounding area.

If you go to the interactive version you'll see that it's quite a large area all grouped together. I'm guessing there are some differences within that area that we're not seeing.

Also, it's alongside the highway and outside of the city so rent is probably low there.

I like how it appears that France is partially responsible for higher income while Portugal lowers income.
