It's the toupee effect. You notice the people who drink uncaffeinated sodas more because they're not self medicating and mitigating their symptoms with caffeine.

I cant stand artificial orange flavor tbh.

Isn't Kel the one that loves orange soda?

[–] teraflopsweat@lemm.ee 8 points 10 months ago

Like famously it’s literally in his catch phrase

Fuck, my meme memory betrayed me.

Someone with memory issues and ADHD? Unheard of!

Keenan probably loves it too, he just never expressed it like Kel did. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  1. There does not appear to be any study showing a causal or correlational link between BVO consumption and hyperactivity or ADHD.

  2. Even if there was, orange sodas are one of many that contained BVO which means that you would expect any drink with BVO in it to correlate with ADHD not just orange flavored ones.

On unlikely they'd be a link. Just coincidence. I'd assume anything laden with corn syrup would disrupt ADHD but that's purely an uneducated guess

It could also be that fanta is caffeine free and caffeine is known to help with ADHD symptoms. So it may not be what theyre drinking so much as what they aren't.

I don't know if its the mandala effect but I think I remember all the "wild" (90s) kids going to the color orange.

[–] Jeanschyso@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I never liked it. And I could sit still just fine. Wasn't hyperactive, which is why I was only diagnosed at 20 years old.

I think I found it here, wanna bounce? …. Literally 😝😝
