I have a few simple questions/comments (some are nitpicky). I understand all this is in beta and are subject to change, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't "complain" to provide feedback to Valve. So here it goes:
-
The CS2LT website shows the improved visual effects of Global Elite, so it looks like the current ranking system is here to stay. So, does that mean it could be incorporated with the ELO system? For example, let's say reaching 5.00 ELO mean you've become Gold Nova 1. In Faceit, there's the general level (1-10) then there's specific ELO within those levels. The current CSGO ranks could be equivalent to Faceit's level 1-10.

This ELO system is apparently in Premier matchmaking. So, is there going to be non-premier matchmaking as well (with the current ranking system) as in CSGO? Well, doesn't that split the player base? (It probably won't matter anyways because there's going to be 3 million concurrent players playing the best FPS game ever)

Obviously having a visible ELO system is fantastic. I'm not good at maths, but I'm not sure I understand the purpose of decimal in the CS Rating, why not simply count from 0 to 3500? Wouldn't it be easy to talk about one's elo as "1362", instead of saying "13 point 62". Two digits after the decimal seems a bit awkward to me.

The "final" design & color choices of the ranks look weird to me, but perhaps it's because I have no idea about the current skin rarity colors. Also, if the current S1 to GE ranking system is not incorporated with the ELO system in Premier matchmaking, then we'd be sort of downgrading from a fantastic visual designs of the current CSGO ranks to whatever those boxes-with-a-pointy-edge-on-one-sides are. Even Faceit's level 1-10 designs look simple, better, and the color progression intuitive, and the colors instantly communicate the ranks as much as the numbers. Look how good this looks, and compare it to the current "beta" version, with its awkward 00.00 ELO format and a color progression that doesn't immediately make sense unless you already know about skin rarity colors.
You might say I will get answers soon if I am patient (after all the lord rewards patience, right?), but I think it's also important to have good discussions while the game is in the beta. After all...
