I've always been concerned about privacy, and I'm ignorant of how the fediverse works at a low level.

What information does our server collect about us?

When we delete a comment or post, is it truly deleted on Beehaw?

Do deletions also propagate to federated servers?

If the data is federated, I would assume that any deletion request is not going to be honored by somebody.

these are good questions to be clear and i wish i could be more helpful in answering them--but i think they're distinctly above our paygrade (and also something inherent to lemmy that we can't control, so any answers that apply to us also apply to lemmy generally) so they're probably better suited to !lemmy_support@lemmy.ml as far as getting a complete answer

How do I ask the question there?

it should be possible through this link, which will take you to their instance in a way you can make posts on it
