I’m seeing people saying “Jude masterclass” when he was quite bad and non existent for most of the match. Kudos for the goals and the 3 points but football social media is gone. Anyone else feel this way?

Is it okay to call people who hate Jude Bellingham anti-semite?

It’s true, not only Jude but none of the attacking players played well but at the end the result matters and you’ve to give credit to Jude for trying such a shot in his first Classico while being 1-0 down. The second goal looks simple but his positioning was even better than striker Joselu.

He didn’t have a full game masterclass but he did what was needed and at the end got 3 points away to Barca

Honestly, joselu’s job was to pull defense away and open up space for Jude.

If you watch the replay, you will see Joselu dragged the defender away from the goal.

To me it seems you are the biased one, Jude literally won this el classico.

what is it you think you're being objective about? surely the only objective thing is that he scored an equaliser and a winner...

Not just Jude but overall Los Clássicos have dropped in quality and intensity over the last few years. It used to be a game that would put on display the best of individual and collective brilliance. This one seemed no different than a mid-league dead rubber affair.

Scoring, like most people here seem to think, isn't the end of it all when judging a player. Prime Inzaghi or Shevchenko would have been top of everything and Ronaldinho a hack as he wouldn't score consistently.

Jude is a good player, more physical than technical and may have a great career. Whether he's world class is still to be determined.

Football being irrational is why we find it meaningful.

Listen any football fan talking about their club and you will see they are out of touch with reality. The only rational way to engage with football is to realise that its just a game about a ball and is a waste of time. But who wants that?

He scored 2 goals (the only goals) for his team against their rivals and they won. Don't think this is so outlandish as you and others are making out

Football fans have always been, most of the time, wrong. This is not a new phenomenon.

This has been going on for forever - Zidane wasn’t that great in 98 but his brace in the final and some specific instances in knockout performances elevated him.

Zidane was insane in Euro 2000 however yet both 98 and 06 get more praise.

People are stupid and can't put on the table what happens in 90 minutes.

The comments here proved your point bro..

Im a barca fan, and even i will agree bellingham played great. He pulled a goal out of his ass like messi in the 2022 world cup, then nutmegged mats (one of the best keepers in the world). Im not even scared of mbappe anymore, its this guy.

[–] HermannHaller1023@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

You must have a reason to feel he was non existent in the game and that’s perfectly fine, imo however he was at the right place at the right time - a skill as great as any, scored the all important goal and saw his team prevail. I’d say he is a generational talent who had a great game, and I’m a Barca supporter. I also feel that objectivity or partisanship in football have been pretty much the same across the years, despite the sea change in socio-political culture, and again that’s just my opinion.

When it comes to big matches fans in general get dramatic about the winning team. Winning against Barcelona is a difficult thing to do. Tbh without injuries there’s no way Madrid would have won. Anyway. Madrid fans are also dramatic.

This guy just really really does not like real madrid just looking at his post history. I mean yeah jude wasn’t perfect throughout the whole game. But he won them the game.

I’m sorry but do people not know scoring goals is more important than stats like dribbles completed to challenges won😭
