Newcastle should be looking into whether AC Milan knew or had some suspicions about this that they didn't let on.

Unless Milan are really stupid it’s very unlikely there’s any evidence they knew. They might have heard rumours and though it was a good time to get rid. If there’s any paperwork that shows they knew then they would be really idiotic.

I’m sure they are, the hard part is proving it

Should have just worn t-shirts with Tonali on them instead

Pretty unrelated but did anything come of Paqueta’s betting accusations?

[–] zi76@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

There was no one that admitted to it like Fagioli. Once Fagioli admitted to it, the others basically have to fall in line or risk massive bans.

The FA had was supposed to present an accusation or clear him by October 11th, but they asked for new prove to be attached, and once this happens, their deadline get renewed by 1 month.

The current deadline is November, but in reality in can still last a couple of months. Here’s the latest article about it (in Portuguese):

does newcastle have the depth to deal with his absence? Seems like milan dodged a bullet by selling him

Kalvin Phillips on loan seems like a decent fit for everyone

The talks are - all on black, double or nothing.

Newcastle got to be considering legal action against Milan if they didn't disclose this correctly, could derail their promising start

There needs to be a long hard look at football and it’s relationship with the predatory betting industry.

The pearl clutching at people and fans showing support and solidarity for someone who’s admitted he has an addiction from people on Reddit the past few weeks has been embarassing too btw. Some of you are always harping on about mens mental health when it’s a favourite player but when it actually comes to it they’re all dick and nee balls 👍🏼

bang on mate, can’t believe the backlash I’ve seen for us showing him a bit of support. Doesn’t mean we think he’s innocent, or being treat unfairly, or anything like that - it’s just the decent human thing to do.

And you can guarantee if it was one of their players they would do the exact same thing.

I don't know anyone actually reasonable that isn't coming to his defence. It's ridiculous that an industry that lives off gambling is so punishing to people with gambling addictions. It's gross.

Hell, if Paul Merson is on your side, you know the arguments against you are flawed.

In a perfect world Tonali gets the help he needs, not put out of work for a year to do nothing but sit around and think about his addiction.

Nah a difference between doing it yourself and recruiting others to for potential personal gain.
