Ask Lemmy
A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions
Please don't post about US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world
Rules: (interactive)
1) Be nice and; have fun
Doxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, and toxicity are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them
2) All posts must end with a '?'
This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?
3) No spam
Please do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.
4) NSFW is okay, within reason
Just remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com.
NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].
5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions.
If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.
Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

My instance is defederated.
You should change to an instance that isn't then.
Or just create a new account in that one...
Yeah that's totally an option. Can have more than 1 account.
Are you sure you enable nsfw on your profile? If you browse all, I think every 4th post is nsfw
That may depend heavily on your home instance.
Yeah but I don't need it in my feed lol. NSFW is NSFW. So I go looking for it 😂
My understanding is most NSFW posts are hidden by default unless you are logged in; if you are just visiting that instance directly and aren't logged in with an account there and changed your settings to view NSFW content it's gonna look pretty empty.
Also, pornlemmy.com
Okay thanks
You should create a login specifically for lemmy.nsfw, there is a lot more there than you think and it's definitely growing.
I see... Okay.
The Community Search Tips community has the post you’re looking for: Finding NSFW Communities Using Lemmyverse.net
In c/all.
Aight. Thanks.
Lemmyverse.net allows you to filter by only NSFW communities, let's you sort by activity types, like subs, posts, comments etc. That's how I find new subs sometimes NSFW and SFW
Additionally, make sure to sort by hot or new, on NSFW communities especially top day won't show anythung because not all of them are posted to everyday
You may need to create a 2nd account on the lemmy.nsfw instance. Your instance may have defederated with them.
Pornlemmy.com
I don't know why, but my instance seems to not index them for some reason. Some communities had some posts when visiting from my instance but after a few hours, all the posts disappeared and some NSFW communities have become empty. What could be the reason for this?
