I am currently getting my '63 Ghia back onto the road, once I finish with that my '63 Transporter is next.

I wish VW would put someone in charge who would bring back some of these design cues. We could really use a small electric VW truck these days, and something like the Ghia.

I am hoping to turn this into an electric truck. For those that do not know, under the bed is a huge empty area that can be filled with batteries. My dad is fully against this idea, however.

Have you followed any of Jehu Garcia's electric builds? If not, it may help you iron down a course of action and help you convince your dad that it's a pretty awesome idea.

If you end up creating a build thread somewhere, please share the link. I'd love to follow this.

i have looked at some, but nothing in depth. I was hoping to turn my '63 Ghia into an EV. But i think I want to get the transporter there first then consider the Ghia.

I'm always jelly on these finds/projects. I'm on a Suzuki Samurai (near done) and want the next to be a FJ55. Yeah ugly but have so much character!

This project is something I am inheriting from my father. Otherwise I do not know that I would have the passion for it, a lot of childhood memories in this truck for me.
